The show was hosted by everybody’s favorite Neil Patrick Harris who also performed a couple of times, but the highlight of the show was Daniel Radcliff’s performance for ‘HOW TO SUCCEED IN BUSINESS WITHOUT REALLY TRYING’.  The entire night was  full of movie veterans who were Broadway debutants such as Ellen Barkin who received a Tony for a best actress in featured play.

The Welsh goddess looked great in a classic Elie Saab, she is not considered to be an ardent fan of the designer, but a little experiment is always good. The gown it self speaks volume about her prompt fashion sense.

Another actor who became the star of the evening was Sutton Foster, when she received the award for the best actress in a musical. Frances Mcdormand took a tony for her performance in the play ‘  Good People’.

Sutton Fosters eclectic speech thanking her friends brought tears and laughs to a lot of fans. She opted for a Michel Kors, multilayered strappless gown.

One thing that i love about Brooke Shields is her spontaneity on and off the stage, her gig with Neil Patrick was a hit. The star is soon to act on Broadway, she choose a wonder full draped gown by J . Mendell for the night.

Norbert Leo took away an award for the best actor in a musical ‘Catch Me if u can’ and Mark Relynce took away an award for the best actor in a play ‘JERSUSALEM’ . Another performance which received a lot of eyes popping out was the musical reenactment of ‘PRISCILA THE QUEEN OF THE DESERT’ , the audience was on their feet when the ‘ORIGNAL WEATHER GIRL’ Martha Walsh took the stage. It was also a special moment for the multi Grammy winning band the U2 as they also did their Broadway debut by giving the music for  ‘ SPIDER MAN: TURN OF THE DARK’.Special Tony Award is given to Handspring Puppet Company, for creating  special puppet horses for the British play ‘THE WAR HORSE’.

Hugh Jackman who has already been a host for the TONY’S comfortably gave a friendly nack to the Neil Patrick Harris by performing with him on the stage on the satirical ‘not just for gays anymore’. A night worth remembering , gave a theatrical treat to all the Broadway fans. The red carpet saw some of the most elegant designs worn by the crème de la crème of the acting world. From  J Medel to Eliee Saab all worked their heads of  make their clients look dramatically beautiful but according to me Catherine Zeta Jones stole the show in a rich thick embroidered red , back less gown, she looked shimmering worth a million stars at the red carpet.  Ellin Barkin and the evergreen Brooke Shield who are considered to be care free when it comes to fashion also looked great. Judith Alexander and Tammy Blanchard proved that great efforts result in success as they looked perfectly suited for the occasion. Over all a great show of theatrics and fashion , packed with all the spices to capture a billion audience around the globe .
