If there is anyone who has given Indian bridal wear a new meaning it is Sabyasachi. He is a designer who has become synonymous to excellence in design form keeping the requirements of modern Indian women in mind without compromising on the intricate details that make Indian bridal wear one of a kind.

This season he is taking grandeur to new heights. He has played with the Benarasi weave among others and have created a collection to lure everyone. There is so much colour, variety in texture and reinterpretation of classic silhouettes that you surely will fall in love.

Known for his play with gold and darker tones in the past he has infused a number of shades in his line this season. There is not shortage of reds, rani pinks, cream, hues of greens and pistachio’s and even dark blues. All this coupled with gorgeous heavy gotta work.  The ensemble just does not only consist of heavy benarasi saris and lehenga-choli with odhnis but there are light badla work saris as well which are fit for a cocktail.

The jewellery is a different story all together. If you thought heavy was out, think twice. His collaboration with jewellery brand Kishandas has resulted in some breathtaking master pieces. The chokers, saath lada necklaces, the multiple basra pearl string sets, the heavy jhumkis, jhumars and maangtikas make the entire collection unapologetically traditional.

If you are planning to pick up something from this gorgeous collection we are sure it wont be easy to select a few pieces, you’d want all of them.
