Why did i chose a designer like De La Renta for my initial post ? well the designer is famous and does not require any introduction, he is known to play with colors, structuring jaw dropping gowns. While i was going through the collections, i was searching for minimalism and i was a bit surprised when i found it in Oscar De La Renta’s latest fashion show(he is known for his magnanimous couture gowns and dresses) Otherwise his creations are known for being a mix of colors, wraps, lace and off course the signature fur. Remember the gown that Penelope wore at the L.A Premiere of Pirates of the Carribean : On Stranger Tides. In this collection he has experimented with colors and different geometrical cuts. Most of the short dresses are such that one could suit a corporate women. They are crisp, clear showing no nonsense attitude A women would prefer some of these dresses for a upbeat corporate party night. Who says playing with patterns was Diane Von Frostenbergs thing, Oscar has also played with smart patterns paired with beated and embellished jackets. Sleak , long , tight fitted dresses are speaking out for the flavour of the season. Classic beauty was much more of Oscars arena , however he has surpassed the level of excellence and has been successful in putting up a great show by playing simple yet classic once again. The gowns are off course to vouch for, they are sharp, strong and best fit gowns suited for the ladies of today. I can imagine some one like Emma Watson in the blue gown in pic no.7 and Jennifer Lopez in pic no.8.
