Ruchika Sachdeva loves  nostalgia and her recent collection proved the fact. Keeping the core very Indian, her latest collection for A/W 16 comprised of interesting reinterpretations of Indian textiles with an infusion of shades such as indigo blue and military green, striking a desi chord.

She created some stunning wardrobe essentials such as slouchy tops, jackets, culottes with blazers and feminine pleated skirts. Sticking to her signature ‘gender fluid silhouettes’ her entire collection struck a perfect balance between causal  and formal. Needless to say some of the pieces were fit for formal meetings.

What caught our eye was a black and white pleated skirt with a wrap around, a henna top layered over a shirt dress, and a simple white wide legged trousers with shirt layered under a military green over coat. What stood out in the entire collection was the fact that Ruchika has mastered the art of layering.
