Without any mucking about Priyanka Chopra ditched her train from last year and took to a simpler yet sharper look in a golden Ralph Lauren gown.
The international awards season has already commenced and last night saw some of the biggest stars took over the red carpet in their couture finery to celebrate the Golden Globe Awards 2017. Though every year some of the biggest showbiz fixtures come together to recognize the global cinematic talent but when it comes to red carpet it is all about “who you are wearing?”. This year was special for India. Our very own desi-girl took over the red carpet in a gold Ralph Lauren hand embroidered gown while Deepika Padukone (also in Ralph Lauren) though a new fledgling in Hollywood proved her metal in canary yellow number by Ralph Lauren.
Here is what the other Hollywood ladies wore.
The ‘Loving’ star, Ruth Negga has become fashion’s darling in a short span of time. After bagging her first Vogue cover, Ruth brought the Tinseltown to a halt in her one of a kind Louis Vuitton column gown. Hollywood super-stylist Karla Welch told the Telegraph that it took 120 hours to complete the piece.Nicole Kidman could have used a dash of strong colour over an head toe pale palate. But a dash of sequins did the magic in this Alexander McQueen number.Olivia Pope a.k.a Kerry Washington opted for a rather simple Dolce and Gabbana gilded piece. For her first Golden Globe red carpet, Claire Foy of ‘The Crown’ ditched her prim cardigans and voluminous balls gowns from her onscreen role and instead chose this pastel sequined Erdem number. You can always count on Sofía Vergara for picking up some of the most daring pieces. If not risqué-y, surely over-dramatic! We love the cold shoulder detail in this Zuhair Murad gown.Naomi Harris made a strong case in a sweetheart neckline in this Armani Prive gown.
