The world we live in would have been like a lackluster canvass if there were no talented people to give it some color of their exuberance.

If intricately seen it is not very difficult to find people with talent and panache. In these times when finding a balance between one’s vocation and avocation seems to be ever unachievable there are a few who masterfully do it. For those determined few tribulations only work as a panacea to stimulate their abilities to achieve what they want.

Few days back I was fortunate enough to make a new friend with a girl who happens to be a bag designer and a manufacturer. Her name is Swati Singhania ,based in Agra this vivacious young women is full of zeal and a vision to take her business to a global level. She is blessed with hands of a master craftsmen and her bags are just not bags but works of art.

Talent lies in every corner of or country we just require a concrete platform to display it and some genuine people to appreciate it.

So, cheers to this young bag designer and a young women who knows the minutiae of being a sheer business women.

I am a happy go lucky person who wants to explore the world of fashion, meet people and have always wanted to make my hobby my career.

I did my schooling from Scindia Girls school (Boarding) Gwalior , then BBA from AMITY UNIVERSITY NOIDA and then my P.G in – Goods & Accessories Design from FDDI Noida and topped my course.

After completion of my course I joined an online portal to gain some experience of online selling Since the very beginning the grey area in my head was flooded with ideas to create bags and not just bags but bags that would lure people. So after 8 long yrs struggling outside my hometown I decided to get back and make most of my course by creating something new –something original- my own designs bag collection.

Inspired by my mother who started designing bags just as a passion and guided by my father I took headway into this business.

Since market has lot of leather designers and also knowing the fact that china holds a premiere position in leather accessories, I decided to get into something that’s truly ethnic. Then we had already some artisans working under us, we increased a few no of them and got into hardcore designing after analyzing new trends , colors.

From April till end of July we have 100’s of new designs with us, all handmade beaded bags- Clutch, Tote, Mobile/Sunglass cases.

Simultaneously I started selling my products online via 2 websites – Styletag an event website and Craftsvilla which is truly devoted to bring forward the local artisans and their craft.

Since my dad is an exporter of promotional gift items we included bags to and started exporting our bags to Europe and since then our business destinations are only increasing in number.

During the festive season our bags sell like hot cakes and are in great demand as they are a perfect match with the ethnic Indian wear.

In the past people have been appreciative of my work and have been given a lot of opportunities to design for wedding trousseau.

I proudly say that I love my work, scribbling, sketching, playing with colors, brainstorming new , funny, impractical , practical designs , I find my haven in AHANKARA beaded bags which is my signature label.

I am loving this experience to the core because I have chosen to make my passion my way of earning and follow my bliss.
